My top three books from 2013…

Published on January 3rd, 2014

3 best booksI hope to read more books in 2014.  It’s one of my goals for this new year.  I enjoy reading and often find that it provides ideas, inspiration, and verbiage that I need at exactly the right time.  I’m not sure how or why that happens…it just does.  On top of that, reading just opens your mind to  new ways of expressing thoughts, ideas, and challenges.  I’m putting my book list together for 2014 and would love to hear what may be on your list.  As I reflect on what I did read this past year, here are my top three books.

It’s Your Ship by D. Michael Abrashoff.  This is a management book written by a former Navy commander.  It’s fantastic and I walked away with several new leadership tips.  You can read my full post on this book here.

What We Talk About When We Talk About God by Rob Bell.  There are great stories in this book that may just challenge everything you think you know about God.

Who Is This Man? by John Ortberg.  I found this book to be extremely inspiring.  It’s the best book that I read all year.  I had a hard time putting it down as it was captivating enough to help me once again be amazed with Jesus.  This book challenged me to think about the unpredictable impact of the inescapable Jesus.  He is the man who won’t go away.

What’s was your best read of 2013?  What’s on your list for 2014?
