I didn’t make it!

Published on December 29th, 2013

As I do a bit of reflecting on what has been a very enjoyable and fulfilling year, there are some things where I simply “didn’t make it.”  That’s not always easy to admit, but reality has a unique way of forcing you to face the truth!  I didn’t read enough books this year.  I can

I’d like to personally invite you to join me for one of our Christmas Eve gatherings at ValleyPoint Church.  These are some of my favorite events, and it would be great to see many enjoy these celebrations.  These nights will include images, music, a children’s choir, and thoughts that capture the warmth of Christmas.  Come

Stress Less!

Published on December 20th, 2013

In five days we celebrate what for many is “the most wonderful time of the year.”  It’s Christmas.  It’s a time for family.  It’s a time to slow down and enjoy generosity at its best.  But the most wonderful time of the year often turns into the most stressfull time of the year.  There’s stuff

Big Deal #2

It’s true…there are a few things that are a BIG DEAL to God.  There are a few things that are close to His heart.  Certainly, time in God’s Word and time in prayer matter to Him. “Worship at its highest level is developing my heart to such a degree of sensitivity that the thoughts of

Big Deal #1

Published on November 26th, 2013

I recently walked through a teaching series at ValleyPoint Church called “Big Deal.”  Our teaching centered on three different faith catalysts that drive us as a faith community.  I believe that these catalysts are not just for an organization.  They’re also great principles for individuals to embrace and live.  The three “Big Deal” posts on

run to the messes…

Published on November 16th, 2013

Run to the messes.  This little sentence has been challenging me recently.  How intentional am I about helping people?  How much time do I give to those who don’t have the perfect life, the perfect family, the perfect job, and the perfect house?  Sometimes life gets messy for people and they experience things that make

Prayer Event!

I believe God has a great future for ValleyPoint Church.  These are truly exciting times as we dream about building a permanent home for our faith community.  This “Real Home” will be a place where God’s name will be made famous.  It will be a place for others to begin their own spiritual journey.  It
