fixing the gaps mainIn just about any relationship there will be gaps between expectations (the things we believe will happen) and experiences (the things that actually happen). How we manage “the gaps” will determine the success of that relationship. Successful relationships (personal or business) go to great lengths to believe the best about the other person when they find themselves in the gap. The other option in that moment is to assume the worst. Assuming the worst leads to doubt, anger, and eventually broken (perhaps beyond repair) relationships. Do you find yourself living “the gap” in one or more of your relationships? Don’t be surprised. Prepare for the gaps because they happen. Believe the best. Attack the problem not the person. I believe these steps will help us manage the tension of living “the gap.”
